Ahlstrom’s absorbent papers are produced with a wide range of thickness and absorption levels for optimal wicking capabilities, drying, and blotting in any application. The key characteristics that help to define the right paper grade are the thickness, the basis weight, and the capillary rise (absorption speed). Thicker papers allow separation of higher quantities, while lower capillary rise is more suitable for higher resolution.
